My name is Claire Antrobus and I am an independent consultant, researcher, coach and facilitator based in York and working national and internationally in the cultural and non-profit sectors.
I work with individuals and organisations ranging in scale from national organisations such as Tate and British Council to smaller artist-led initiatives including Artquest and Volcano Theatre. My background is in the visual arts and I have worked with many of UK’s leading galleries including Turner Contemporary, Hepworth Wakefield and Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima). I also work with universities, local authorities, charity sector and social enterprise.
My approach as a consultant is based on hands-on experience of running arts organisations, combined with high-level professional training as a coach, facilitator and change manager, and fuelled by a passion for unleashing people’s potential.
If you are looking to make the most of what you have: your abilities, your team, your efforts or your resources then whatever your goal, I can help you and your organisation work better:
- Through coaching, I support individuals to achieve their potential, deliver better results, to find a better work/life balance and to develop work plans
- Through facilitation, research and consultancy I work with non-profit cultural organisations to develop strategies, respond to change, develop their staff potential, improve results and create more productive working cultures.
Working better is about enabling you to take simple steps to make a lasting difference.
“I’ve found working with Claire particularly useful because she clearly and succinctly identifies what needs doing and what our respective roles are in moving forward. Most importantly, she is the critical friend who will tell me what I need to hear, even if it’s an uncomfortable message. During busy times, Claire’s realistic approach is exactly what I need.”
